Free universal Windows platform program

The developer of the Bloatbox, Privatezilla, and SharpApp has an additional utility program for Windows users. ControlUWP was created by Builtbybel for you to manage and control various settings on your Windows computer. While Windows has its own Settings app, this program takes charge of removing bloatware and disabling privacy and other app-related options (which cannot be done on a standard Windows device). It is definitely a great way to customize and access important options quickly.

What is ControlUWP by Builtbybel?

ControlUWP is a free program that allows you to manage Windows 10 settings. A commercial Windows PC lets you see and edit options that are relevant to your network connection, displays, applications, user accounts, etc. Most PCs cannot completely remove preinstalled bloatware. This is where this handy tool comes in; it can run debloat operations and disable application access, web browser access, and Game Bar capabilities. In turn, it removes all temporary data in your system.

The program’s interface has three columns; from left top right, they are the main categories, sub-categories, and descriptions or options. It is up to you to enable or disable the subcategory you have chosen. Other items are labeled with a uniform resource identifier or URI. These labels are helpful in directing you to the pages and applications that are already part of your system and those that are supported by PowerShell scripts.

To start modifying settings on using this tool, simply select the Apply button. The highlights script will indicate that the changes have been made. Other capabilities of the program are installing, running, and backing up programs. One of the more important programs it can download is the Windows ISO downloader. ISO documents contain an identical copy or image of data found in CDs. In addition to ISO files, it can also back up Spotlight images to your desktop.

Create a truly unique Windows PC

ControlUWP is a suitable program for avid Windows users. It expands the capabilities of your current Settings app and makes you more efficient in creating a system that meets your specific needs. The program is also helpful in maximizing your storage space; it removes all the unnecessary files and accessibility in order for your PC to run smoothly. Ultimately, it is a practical utility program for PC users.

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
